Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Toddlers That Make Sense
If you need stocking stuff ideas for toddlers, you’re in the right place! In this blog I’m sharing a bunch of stocking stuffer ideas perfect for toddlers!
Why does it seem like stocking stuffer ideas for toddlers are the demise of Christmas? I don’t know about you, but I usually end up stuffing my kid’s stockings with useless items, just so it’s full. My kids play with said-stocking stuffer-items on Christmas day and then they’re never used or seen again. Sound familiar to you, too? If it does, then keep reading! Before we get to the stocking stuffer ideas, here’s a quick story…I’ve been trying really hard lately to cut down on the clutter in our home. We’ve been donating old clothes and toys and also talking to my kids about the importance of giving to other families who don’t have as much as us.
With Christmas coming and oh-so-sweet grandparents who LOVE to give, give, give, my husband and I have decided to go light on the Christmas gifts this year. We’re going to give only a few reasonable but fun gifts that we know the kids will love and USE. We don’t want to just buy stuff to have lots of gifts under the tree so it looks pretty or desirable.
And that goes for stocking stuffers, too. We don’t need more candy and needless, well crap for lack of a better term, everywhere. So I’ve rounded up a list of ideas for you to stuff those stockings with need-items.
Stocking Stuffer Ideas For Toddlers
- Socks/tights and underwear
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Coloring book
- Bubble Bath
- Favorite snack or treat
- Special Christmas Ornament (This is a family tradition!)
- A book
- Fun band-aids
- Sippy cup or new straw accessories (We use Camelback waterbottles, so new straws each year make sense!)
- Chapstick (For older toddlers)
- Headband and/or winter hat
- Hairbrush/comb
- Stickers
Most of these items are necessities, and won’t add too much clutter. Some things, like a favorite treat or the stickers will end up being used in the end and won’t sit around on your kitchen table. I like the idea of being clutter-free and not having a thousand toys laying around that will be used once or twice. What about you? Do you like this minimalist idea? If you have anymore great stocking stuffer ideas, please leave them in the comments!
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season! Here’s a quick reminder for your mama….You don’t need to make everything magical or ever feel like you’re not doing enough. This season is magical for your children, no matter what!
