A Reminder For Moms At Christmas
A quick reminder for moms during this hectic crazy season that you’re doing great!
The Christmas season can get tough, so I wanted to write a quick reminder for moms who think they are failing. It can be easy during this crazy, busy season to feel like you’ve failed your kids. Like you haven’t done enough. But in this quick thoughts, heartfelt blog I want to remind you that you’re doing great!
Reminder For Moms on Christmas
As the Christmas season draws to a close, let’s take a moment to reflect on everything you’ve accomplished. Yes, you. The mom who juggled a million tasks, made countless decisions, and poured her heart into making this time magical for her family. In the hustle and bustle, it’s easy to overlook just how much you’ve done, so let me remind you: you’ve done amazing.
From the very start, you were the one steering the sleigh, literally and figuratively. Whether you were hunting for the perfect gifts, baking cookies, or visiting Santa with your kids, you created joy with your thoughtfulness and effort. Every small detail, from picking out ornaments to hanging stockings, mattered! It mattered because it was infused with your love and your love was surely felt by your children.
And let’s not forget the behind-the-scenes work that often goes unnoticed. You were the one keeping the family calendar on track. You navigated holiday parties, Christmas activities, and school events/Spirit Week (why is always before Christmas?!) Plus you probably stayed up way too late wrapping presents or organizing something special for your kids, because that’s what moms do. You gave your time, energy, and care because you wanted this season to feel special for everyone around you. Even if you didn’t feel like you had any energy left to spare.

Let’s take a quick minute though to be real. It probably wasn’t all picture-perfect, and that’s okay! Maybe you didn’t get to every single thing on your list. I know I didn’t! Maybe your house wasn’t as spotless as you hoped, I know it’s been super hard to keep the clutter to a minimum in my house! Or perhaps, the gingerbread houses collapsed under the weight of too much frosting. Just laugh about it because it’s important to remember that these moments, you know the messy, imperfect ones, are often the most cherished. Your kids don’t need perfection; they need you, and you showed up!
There were also moments when you probably felt overwhelmed. Maybe the mental load felt heavier than usual, or the expectations of the season pressed down hard. If you ever doubted yourself or felt like you weren’t doing enough, please know that those thoughts were lies. You did more than enough, and your family is so lucky to have you.
Take a deep breath and think back on the smiles, the laughter, and the joy you helped create. That’s all YOU! Those moments, the big and the small, exist because of you. You’ve built memories and traditions that will last long after the decorations are packed away. You’ve given your family something priceless: your love, your presence, and your dedication.
Final Thoughts
So now, as the season winds down, give yourself permission to rest. Let the dishes sit in the sink for a little while. Curl up with a warm drink and watch a movie you love. You deserve a moment to soak in the beauty of what you’ve accomplished. And if no one has told you yet, let me say it loud and clear: thank you for everything you’ve done!
You’re a Christmas miracle in your own right, and I know your efforts have made this season shine. Your kids love you and think you’re the best mom in the world. So, cheers, here’s to you, mama. You are appreciated, you are loved, and you’ve done an incredible job this Christmas [and always.]
