Silly Hat Craft Using a Paper Bowl
We love going to our local library for story hour and getting some great craft ideas! This week we made a hat craft and I can’t get over it. I think it’s so funny and adorable! Keep reading to find out how we made them.
This week at story hour was a little crazy and just not as organized and themed as usual. A children’s book author from our area came in to visit and showed us some of her books, which was super cool!
Then during craft time, the kids made hats. I’m not really sure why…there was no mention of hats from the guest author but whatever, they were so funny. And literally so easy to make…here’s what you need:
Paper Hat Craft:
- A sturdy paper bowl
- Glue
- Literally any kind of craft supply (we used stickers, crayons, streamers, and feathers)

Have your kids get creative and decorate their own paper hat the way they want! I love a craft that allows my kids to do whatever they want and lets their imagination run wild. Check out our hats below!
They say a picture is worth a thousand words. And I’m not sure why but I find these little paper hats hysterical, but here are my very happy kids wearing their silly caps.
What a fun craft right?? Make sure to save this for later, or to Pinterest, so you can make one soon. I’m thinking they would be perfect for a Kentucky Derby Party for kids?! What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
