I Spy Christmas is a great option for older preschoolers/kindergarteners. My family loves the rhyming riddles and searching for items on every bright colored page. These were even a favorite of mine when I was a kid! They are truly timeless books.

Construction Site on Christmas Night by Sherri Duskey Rinker is perfect for boys and girls! This fun rhyming story captions a construction crews point of view on Christmas Eve and has an adorable surprise ending! Again, this whole series of books by Rinker is a favorite in our home.

Little Blue Truck’s Christmas by Alice Schertle is a super cute, rhyming book for toddlers and preschoolers. If you’re familiar with this series, Little Blue always teaches an important lesson and this book even works on numbers and counting! It’s definitely a win-win.

Pete the Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Litwin is a take on the tale, The Night Before Christmas. And I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again….this is another series of books we just LOVE in our home. Get groovy with Pete the Cat this Christmas, these books are always silly and cool!

Gingerbread Mouse by Katy Bratun is a heartwarming story about a little mouse who is on the hunt for a new home on Christmas — and finds it in the most unexpected place. This book is one you will want to snuggle up and read together over and over again!

The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg is by far the best Christmas book for children in my opinion. It is a classic tale about believing in the spirit of Christmas and it truly gives me the goosebumps every time I read it to my kids.
